Ramtaps Pty. Ltd. manufactures the Ram range of tapware and the Harbic range of waste outlets. Ramtaps is Queenslands only manufacturer of tapware and one of the few remaining Australian tapware manufacturers. Ram operates from two sites in Eagle Farm and currently directly employs around 150 people. Ramtaps was established in 1986 with a basic ‘Easy Clean’ range of tapware and now has more than 20 styles. In the late 80’s Ramtaps took over the manufacturing of the Harbic range of waste grates. The Harbic range has been manufactured for over 50 years and continues today as part of Ramtaps product range.

Ram manufactures tapware and waste outlets using a variety of methods. In-house facilities include, foundry, hot forging, machining, polishing, chrome plating and assembly.

Ramtaps manufactures it’s products to comply with the regulations set out in the Australian Standards, which cover tapware and waste outlets. It is important to look for standards compliance when specifying tapware as this guarantees quality standards in materials and design. One of the requirements of Australian Standards for taps is a strict regulation on the use of materials for parts in contact with water. This standard requires all materials to be verified by independent laboratories as to their suitability for contact with drinking water. Materials passing this standard, when used in tap parts, will not have a detrimental effect on water quality. Ramtaps Standardsmark number for tapware (AS3718) is LN1455. Harbic products are Standardsmarked AS1589 – LN1040.
