1. Warranty by Ramtaps

(a) All warranties (other than those implied by Part V of the Trade Practices Act in relation to goods supplied or installed within the Commonwealth of Australia) are excluded.

(b) If the goods are ordinarily acquired for personal domestic or household use, the liability of Ramtaps for breach of a warranty implied by Part V of the Trade Practices Act (1974) is limited, at its option, to any of the following:-

(i) the replacement of the goods or supply of equivalent goods;

(ii) the repair of goods;

(iii) the payment of the costs of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; and

(iv) the payment of the reasonable cost of having the goods repaired.

(c) The buyer acknowledges that:-

(i) Ramtaps is not liable for any advice given by its agents or employees in relation to the suitability for the purpose of goods or materials supplied by it;

(ii) any advice from Ramtaps or its agents or employees is relied upon at the Buyer’s own risk; and

(iii) any warranty implied by Part V of the Trade Practices Act applies only to goods installed or supplied within the Commonwealth of Australia.

(d) If a warranty claim is made and service staff of Ramtaps attend the Buyer’s premises or place where the goods have been installed and discover that the problem arises from the faulty installation or use of the goods in conjunction with products of another manufacturer or from some other cause other than a manufacturing defect of the goods for which Ramtaps is responsible, Ramtaps may charge a service fee for each service staff. Ramtaps will require dated proof of purchase of the goods before commencing work. The buyer must pay any service fee charged in accordance with this provision.

2. Warranties in relation to Australian Installed and Supplied Products

Remedies are available to consumers under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and similar State and Territory legislation where goods are installed or supplied within the Commonwealth of Australia.

Warranty Terms for Specific Products Categories

Tapware and Spouts
Ramtaps will repair or, at its option, replace any goods which are defective through faulty workmanship or materials within three (3) years of the purchase of goods.

Single Lever Mixers
Ramtaps will repair or, at its option, replace any goods which are defective through faulty workmanship or materials within three (3) years of the purchase of goods. Additionally, the ceramic cartridge includes a further two (2) years, parts only warranty.

Harbic Waste Outlets
Ramtaps will repair or, at its option, replace any goods which are defective through faulty workmanship or materials within twelve (12) months of the purchase of goods.

Defects in the goods caused by improper use, improper installation, surface damage caused by installation, improper care of goods or failure to observe any one or more of the following will not be covered:-

(i) applicable Health Acts; and

(ii) installed in accordance with manufacturers instructions, regulation and/or other standards which govern the water supply and sewerage plumbing requirements of the location of the particular plumbing or installation of the goods.

3. Parts Excluded from all Warranties

Parts that are not covered by the above warranties are those components of the tap which are designed to be periodically replaced and/or maintained.

These parts are;

• Jumper Valves
• O-rings
• Fibre and Plastic Washers
• Single Lever Mixer Lip Seals
• Single Lever Mixer Friction Washers
• Aerator Inserts

Ramtaps will repair or, at its option, replace any of the above listed parts that are found to be defective through faulty workmanship or materials, upon installation only.

4. Warranties Excluded

Except as provided to the contrary in these conditions, all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise relating in any way to the goods are excluded.
